Our Green Team In Action
The Green Team Environmental Justice Internship is a year-long program focused on youth leadership, advocacy, and climate action. Green Team Interns participate in community outreach, advocacy and volunteer events. Students develop leadership, public speaking, organizational, and interpersonal skills to become better prepared to enter a STEM career and become leaders in the Chollas Creek Watershed. See the Green Team doing important community work.
In the Community
🌳 Groundwork San Diego Tree Program - Partnering with Nonprofits🌳
Together, we’re planting more than trees—we’re building stronger, healthier, and more connected neighborhoods. Another step forward in building a greener community was the donation of five trees to the San Diego Center for the Blind.
This collaboration helps:
✅ Plant free trees on residential and community properties
✅ Cool down neighborhoods and reduce urban heat
✅ Beautify our neighborhoods
✅ Increase access by working directly with trusted community-based organizations
Hear from the San Diego Center of the Blind on how this donation made a difference.
“I learn from Groundwork San Diego what more I can do for my community and how to bring about change.”

Make a donation.
Your donation of any amount will support Groundwork’s programs in the areas of neighborhood climate action, STEAM education, and promoting parks and trails and a healthy Chollas Creek. We will keep you posted on our progress through our monthly updates! Thank you!
